Our Build Philosophy
A 5-point build philosophy applied to every Endure Decks project. Not a lifespan guarantee — a method that ensures your deck won't be failing at year five.
Every deck we build is checked against these five points before handover. If any point isn't met, we don't sign off. We can't promise a deck lasts 20 years — no honest builder can. What we can promise is it won't be falling apart at eight.
Objective
Prevent standing water and moisture retention on all structural members.
Why This Matters
Water sitting on timber is the leading cause of rot, decay, and early structural failure.
Requirements
The ultimate subframe
We apply the same 5-point checklist to every build, regardless of subframe material. A correctly specified pine subframe built to our standard will perform well for years — it's what most of our projects use, and it's the right call for most sites and budgets.
But our honest advice for anyone prioritising ultimate longevity: consider aluminium. It doesn't rot, swell, or degrade. No structural response to moisture or movement over time. If you want to remove as many variables as possible over a long build life — aluminium is the way. We offer it on any build.
Every Endure Decks build carries a 7-year structural warranty in line with consumer law. What we can't offer — and what no honest builder should — is a promise that a deck will last exactly 20 years. Timber moves, sites vary, and maintenance matters. What we can offer is the method that gives it the best possible chance, and an aluminium subframe for those who want to remove as many variables as possible.
