What does the Planning Stage cover?

Scaled layout plans, materials selection, council navigation where needed, structural coordination, and a fixed-price quote. Everything is locked in before a build contract is signed. The planning fee is credited toward your build if you go ahead.

What if I don't go ahead after planning?

You keep everything — the plans, the council correspondence, the full project document. You're under no obligation to build with us. The fee covers the work done, and you can take the documents anywhere.

Do you handle council approvals?

Yes. Most Perth decks under 500mm above ground don't need a permit. Where one is needed — elevated builds, coastal overlays, heritage areas — we manage the full process as part of the planning stage.

Why do you plan before you price?

Because a guess isn't a quote. Without proper plans we can't give you a number you can actually rely on. The planning stage is how we get from 'roughly this kind of deck' to a fixed price with no surprises.

Discovery

Fill out our enquiry form and book a 30-minute discovery call. We do it on video — not email — because we need to hear what you're trying to build before we can be useful.

You'll get a confirmation email with a link to send us photos, plans, and measurements before the call.

On the call, we work out what success looks like — your budget, your timeline, and whether we're the right fit. If we're not, we'll tell you.

After the discovery call, every project moves into the Planning Stage.
