The build standard

This is what you're building to.

Five non-negotiables on every Endure job. Not aspirational — this is the sign-off checklist before any build is handed over. If it's not right, it gets fixed before we move on.

Water management

No surface where water ponds on structural timber. Joist tops protected at deck-board interfaces. Ledger flashed correctly. Clear drainage paths.

Material & treatment class

Right treatment rating for the actual exposure — above-ground, low-clearance, coastal. No untreated structural timber. Cut ends sealed on site.

Connections & corrosion

Fasteners rated for the environment — coastal or inland. No mixed metals. All structural connectors fully fixed. Posts isolated from concrete.

Ventilation & drying

Structure can dry after rain. No sealed voids without airflow. Skirting ventilated or removable. Drainage paths stay clear of future landscaping.

Load path & structure

Loads transfer cleanly from boards to footings. Joist spacing correct for the board material. No packers, no improvised fixes, no unsupported spans.
